Information for first-year students

Teaching and Exams

• Information concerning exams can be found at the homepage of the Prüfungsamt.
• In unisono you can enrol online for exams, compile your time-table and look for results of your exams. Time tables for first-year students can be found here.
• At the homepage of the Dekanat you can find general information about the School of Economic Disciplines and links to the Internet sites of the lecturers.
• In case you need advice concerning the BA program please contact Prof. Dr. Kessing.

Preparatory Course in Mathematics

• The Faculty offers a preparatory course in Mathematics to all first-year students of the upcoming summer term. Further information can be obtained here.

Studies

• Library.
• At the Studierendensekretariat you can enrol and strike off the register, apply for a scholarship (BAföG) and change your contact data.
• The Zentrale Studienberatung can give you general advice concerning your studies and provides psychological aid.
• ZIMT can give you access to the W-LAN and you can apply for an e-mail-address there.
• The Fachschaftsrat is a student organisation providing information about the School of Economic Disciplines from a student’s point of view.
• There is a Newsletter giving actual information about job openings, practical courses, special lectures etc.

International Students and foreign countries

• Information about activities in foreign countries (stay abroad, practical courses, foreign language courses) can be found at the homepage of the Dekanat (International) and at the International Office.
• For questions of international students and for questions concerning activities in foreign countries please contact the Vice Dean for International Affairs Prof. Dr. Arnd Werner.
