Supervision requests on support 

We will gladly supervise your thesis at our chair. An inquiry for the supervision of your thesis is possible annually during the following periods

1. to 15. January

15. to 31. May

15. to 31 October

You will be informed within two weeks whether you can be supervised by the chair.

Please forward the required documents (application form as well as your most recent Transcript of Records) to team-kessing@uni-siegen.de. Please note that due to the current high workload with theses, not all requests for supervision may be considered.

Helpful hints

Extent and handling time

Please take all necessary information from your examination regulations.

You have to register your bachelor/master thesis at the examination office (ca. two or three weeks before the agreed starting date).

Scientific working

Before writing your master thesis you should have gained some experience by writing seminar papers. Additionally, we advise you to take the course "wissenschaftliches Arbeiten". Additional information is available on request during the office hours.

Software

As an alternative for using the available word processing programs, we recommend to use the free software packet LaTeX.

Searching for literature

The university library offers some eRessources which can facilitate your literature research. We recommend a literature management program (e.g., Citavi or Zotero) especially for Bachelor's and Master's theses.
