Iryna Kurz


Iryna Kurz has been a doctoral student at the Chair of Management, Accounting and Corporate Governance since April 2024, focusing on the research fields of ESG, particularly the conformity of ESG investments in international markets. She holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration, with a focus on Auditing and Controlling, as well as M.Sc. in Accounting, Auditing and Taxation awarded by the University of Siegen. During her bachelor’s studies, Ms. Kurz spent a semester abroad at the University of Orléans in France. 

 

In addition to her studies, Ms. Kurz gained practical experience as an intern at MLP Finanzberatung SE in Siegen and Aegon Ltd. in Frankfurt am Main. Afterwards, she worked for three years as a student employee at the Assurance Services and Tax department of KPMG, Cologne. Besides, she worked as a student assistant and tutor at the Chair of Management, Accounting, and Corporate Governance at the University of Siegen.

 

After completing the degree, she worked for three years as an Audit assistant at KPMG - Financial Services Attestation, which specialised in financial instruments. Alongside her research work, Ms. Kurz holds a senior position in the audit department at PKF Fasselt Partnerschaft mbB in Cologne.
